The most physically demanding event in rodeo, bareback riding was developed in the rodeo arena and has no relation to the everyday work of a ranch cowboy. A bareback rider is judged on form, control, and how well the bronc bucks. Bareback riders suffer more injury and carry away more long-term damage than all other rodeo cowboys. While holding onto a rigging made of leather with one hand, the cowboy may not touch the animal, himself, or anything else for the entire 8 second ride. The cowboy will be judged on form, control, and how well the bronc bucks. An outstanding score is in the 80's. http://www.codystampederodeo.com/tickets.cfm
