Sankey Rodeo Company, of Joliet, Montana, is celebrating its 29th Anniversary in the rodeo business. Started in 1978 in Rosehill, Kansas, by Ike and his father, Bud, Sankey Rodeo Company has grown into one of the most prominent stock contracting firms in the PRCA. Ike and Roberta with their children, Ryan and Wade, work hard to ensure every Sankey Rodeo Company production is top quality. Noted for having one of the best rodeo stock breeding programs in the business, the Sankeys raise World Champion horses, including: 1994 and 1997 Saddle Bronc of the Year, Skitso Skoal 1996 and 1997 Reserve Bareback Horse of the Year, William 1998 Saddle Bronc of the Year, Skoal's Wild Card 2000 Saddle Bronc of the Year, Surprise Party Skoal 2003 3rd Place Bareback of the Year, Dippin Broadway These champions, and the rest of our All-Star Bucking Horses, can be seen at Sankey-produced rodeos, as well as the Wrangler National Finals Rodeo (WNFR). Over $100,000 was won on our top 5 horses in 2003. Almost $100,000 was won our our bucking horses at the 2004 WNFR alone. Sankey Rodeo Company continues to gain distinction being featured on ESPN, OLN, and CBS, as well as in USA Today, Western Horseman, ProRodeo Sports News, and in the book “Rodeo--Behind The Scenes at America’s Most Exciting Sport.” Ike understands rodeo from all aspects. He qualified for the National Finals four times in the Bareback Riding and once in the Saddle Bronc Riding. He has been nominated as the "PRCA Stock Contractor of the Year" seven times by the Contract Personnel and Contestants of the PRCA and won the award in 1999.
